Electrotherapy treatments available at RJB are: Laser, Ultrasound and Neuro Muscular Electrical Stimulation (Compex).
Laser
Laser treatment uses light energy to promote healing, reduce pain and inflammation and restore function in soft tissues, joints and muscles. The light energy penetrates the tissue to stimulate cellular repair, speeding up the body’s natural healing process.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound treatment works in a similar way to laser treatment, using high-frequency sound waves to promote healing by stimulating soft tissues like muscles and joints. The vibration from the sound waves can speed up healing and break down scar tissue.
Neuro Muscular Electrical Stimulation
Neuro Muscular Electrical Stimulation uses electrical impulses to cause muscle contractions, this helps to strengthen weakened muscles, improving muscle function after injury or surgery. This therapy can be used to prevent muscle atrophy, and helping with pain management.
