About Julie

Julie trained at the Oswestry and North Staffordshire School of Physiotherapy and started working at the North Staffs Royal Infirmary (now the U.H.N.S.) working in a variety of different ward settings, moving to a more senior role at the Hartshill Orthopaedic Hospital, working closely with the consultant orthopaedic surgeons both on the wards and in an outpatient setting.

She then moved into a more senior role of the Haywood hospital in the outpatient department treating a wide variety of orthopaedic, musculoskeletal and rheumatological conditions including complex cases.

Julie left the NHS to work at Lakeside Physiotherapy Clinic at its inception, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in a wide variety of conditions and is keen continuing to build her skills, keeping up-to-date attending courses and sourcing relevant information. She has a varied skill base but a particular interest in spinal problems.

Her experience includes: Pre and post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation Musculoskeletal problems Complex spinal issues Acupuncture for pain relief Dry needling from muscle spasm Gym rehabilitation Julie is very keen on involving patients in their treatment and is very approachable and understanding. Outside of work Julie enjoys helping take care of her cheeky grandson and spending time with the family, as well as reading, various crafts, hill walking and gardening
